Riverfront Walking Tour

If you have about an hour on your hands, take a stroll along the beautiful Clark Fork River in downtown Missoula, and read the historic markers that are placed on the south side of the river between the Orange Street bridge and the west side of the University of Montana campus.  (One marker is on the north side of the river.)

Ten plaques on stone pillars are in place along the walking path.  They’re easy to access and read about the impact of various modes of transportation and its relationship to the physical and cultural history of the Missoula Valley.  Download the Self-guided Walking Tour PDF.
